About W. Brian Shelton

W. Brian Shelton is Provost and Professor of Theology at Toccoa Falls College in northeast Georgia. He holds a bachelor from Asbury University, the M.Div. from Covenant Theological Seminary, and the Ph.D. in historical theology from Saint Louis University. A recognized speaker, he has authored numerous scholarly articles and contributed chapters to several books.

He is a fellow with the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities Leadership Development Institute and the Georgia Governor’s Teaching Fellowship. His research interests include historical biblical exegesis, Western patristics, early church martyrdom, and soteriology.

Along with Sally, his wife of 25 years, Brian is the father of three daughters.  Living in northeast Georgia allows for some of the best hiking and waterfalls that a former Eagle Scout could enjoy. A favorite activity is leading college students to Europe to visit firsthand the most important sites of church history.
